Knowing how to keep stormwater clean starts with one simple idea: street drains are for rain, not rubbish.

For many of us, water is where life happens. It is a swim after sport, a morning walk by the creek, a fishing line off the rocks or kids hunting for tiny fish in the shallows. There are trade-offs. Gardens need maintenance, tanks need space, and changes must suit your property and local conditions. The goal is not perfection. It is to give rain more chances to soak in cleanly before it reaches the drain.
